The Chinese Zodiac--Cow

The Cow is the second animal in the Chinese Zodiac. The animal for this year is most commonly translated as Cow, but Ox and Water Buffalo are also used. In traditional Chinese Culture the Cow is considered to be hard working, trustworthy, and simple. Farmers traditionally wanted to have children who were born during the year of the Cow because it was believed that they would work hard and eat little.

Years of the Cow:

If you were born on the following dates, you were born during the year of the Pig. Since the Chinese Lunar Calendar varies from the Western Gregorian calendar, the dates of the year differ. If your birthday lands before the listed dates, you were actually born during the year of the Tiger.
