The Horse is the seventh animal of the Chinese Zodiac. Parents like to have male children during the year of the horse because it is believed that it will be easy for the child to attract a good wife. During the Chinese New Year, the Wa ethnic minority group will feed their horse glutinous (sticky) rice and watch to see which direction the horse will face. If the horse faces east, the year will be a lucky one, whereas if the horse faces west they will have an unlucky year.
