Upon your arrival at Beijing airport, your tour guide will hold a welcome sign to meet you and escort you to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you. Today you will first visit the historic Tiananmen Square, the largest city square in the world. You could come to see the national flag rising ceremony if could get up early.

Oh, it is time to have lunch. Your lunch will be served in one of the local people's home during the tour. If you like, you could learn how to make dumplings, which are necessary food during Spring Festival in China. Eating dumplings during the Spring Festival is considered auspicious for fortune and wealth in the year to come.
Although eating dumplings for a good luck is a part of Chinese New Year superstition, Chinese people still would like to follow it today.

Today you will have a visit to the majestic Great Wall (Badaling section), which is the most outstanding representation of China's Great Wall. Moreover, the surrounding scenery of the Badaling section is unbelievable impressive.
Your sightseeing will be carried on to the Sacred Road. This was the ancient pass to the Imperial Tombs of Ming Dynasty. The road lined with the stoned animals, mystical beasts and the officials who serve the emperor in his afterlife.
Today you will visit Beijing's splendid Temple of Heaven, where China's emperors annually went to pray for a good harvest. If you visit here in the early morning you could enjoy watching the locals doing their morning exercises. Feel free to join them if you like. Then you will be escorted to the airport to Xian. Upon arriving in Xian, your tour guide will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your warm hotel. In the morning, you will visit the life-size Terracotta Warriors, China's first emperor's incredible underground army made to protect him in afterlife.
After lunch, you sightseeing today will be carried on to the Ancient City Wall of Xian. It is the largest ancient city-defensive construction in the world. The New Year Lantern Fair will be held during the nights on the city wall. Then you will be escorted to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, which is regarded as the most precious Buddhist Pagoda in China and the symbol of Xian city.
In the evening, your tour guide will bring you back to the Ancient City Wall to join the New Year Lantern Fair, which is the most important activity in Chinese New Year Lantern Festival.
After breakfast, you will visit the Great Mosque and Muslim community before your guide escorts you to the airport for your flight to Guilin. Your tour guide in Guilin will meet you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel. On the way, you will receive a Chinese way of New Year greeting, a Red Packet (a red envelope enclosed ¥50 lucky money), a Chinese New Year Painting, and a Chinese Knot, from your lovely and considerate tour guide. After breakfast, you will be driven to Zhujiang Pier (40-minute drive) to start your boat cruise down the picturesque Li River, which is the highlight of any visit to Guilin, until you get to Yangshuo County. Along the river, you will be inspired by breathtaking views of Karst peaks and pinnacles, crystal-clear water and picturesque pastoral views of rice paddies and water buffaloes. Visitors feel they have stepped into a traditional Chinese painting.
After checking into your hotel, you will have a very special cooking class to make dumplings and other Chinese dishes. Your cooking teacher will accompany you to a local market to purchase the ingredients needed. Dumpling is a necessary food during Spring Festival in China. Today you will be driven back to Guilin (1.5-hour drive) and visit some of its most famous sites. Elephant Trunk Hill is alike a giant elephant drinking water from the Li River. It is vivid and considered the symbol of the Guilin City.
Reed Flute Cave, with magically illuminated stalactites and stalagmites, is one of the most beautiful Karst caves in the region.
Your lunch will be served at a restaurant making excellent local cuisine. You will be enjoying some of the most delicious local New Year dishes, such as glutinous rice dumpling in soup and rice cake. Chinese New Year dishes usually have auspicious names. Glutinous rice dumpling is also called Tang-yuan. In Chinese it means reunion and everything goes smoothly. Thereby eating Tang-yuan is considered bringing good luck. After lunch, your local guide will escort you to the airport for your flight.
